Blessings Come Without Sorrow

In review of Proverbs 10:22 it says, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it.”

Bottom Line:

When the Lord blesses you with riches, you’ll have nothing to regret.

What this means to me:

It is the Lord’s blessings that make me wealthy. He provides this without any regrets.

Today’s passage comes from Proverbs 10. In it we are told that when the Lord blesses us with riches, we’ll have nothing to regret. This verse is great. It indicates that God wants me to have great blessings, and with it - no sorrow. It clearly explains that there is no downside to being blessed of God, and I don’t need to apologize for having His blessing showered on me. He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Many people who are wealthy by worldly standards are miserable. They have never come to understand the favor of the Lord. It’s important to note that favor doesn’t always mean that I’d have the most expensive home on the block; rather it means whatever house I do have is filled with the love and blessings of God Almighty. God’s favor will add immeasurable happiness because He is the one who commands the blessing.

The good news is that it only takes God a moment to move someone from the pit of despair to the pinnacle of success. No matter how tragic the circumstances are that surround you, He can take your life and turn it into a thing of beauty. I should learn to give any of my sorrows to Him, and then be ready for Him to overflow my cup.
