In summary of 1 John 4:9 it says, “God has shown His love to us by sending His only Son into the world. God did this so we might have life through Christ.”

What this means to me:
God shows incredible love for me. Even though I was doing my own thing and still tend to want to drive my own life, he proved how he cares by sending His one and only Son into my world. Jesus came to testify to the truth and he paid the penalty for my sin. He did this so that I could have a different kind of life lived through him in me. This new life is one filled with love for Him and for the people he has put around us. If I allow it God can make himself known through me. He can love others through me.
