A Battle That I’m Born to Win

In summary of 1 John 4:4 it says, “My children, you are a part of God’s family. You have stood against these false preachers and had power over them. You had power over them because the One Who lives in you is stronger than the one who is in the world.”

Bottom Line:
You belong to God. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

What this means to me:
I was born into a battle, a battle that I face against the enemy.  The good news is that the battle I was born to win it.  I have power over him/them because the One Who lives in me now, is stronger and greater than the spirit who lives in this world.   It’s important for me to always know that God and Satan are not equal enemies. God is far superior in all ways. One day God will completely wipe Satan out. But until then, he allows me to a have a choice of which side I’m on. People in the world are often pawns in this cosmic battle. Satan can’t hurt God, so what do you do when you can't hurt someone? You hurt his children. Thus Satan goes after me. So, I was born for a battle, but the good news is that I was born to win it.   The Bible says, “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4b NIV).  Satan isn’t afraid of me. He is afraid of who is in me — God.  With the Holy Spirit in me, I don’t have to be afraid of Satan. I’m on the winning side of this war. Now its time to live like it.
