In review of Psalm 100:5 it says, “The Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind, and his faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation” (TLB).
Today’s verse comes from Psalm 100. In it I read that the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.
Its really true that God is good all the time. However, I may not always live like a believe it. It can be hard to believe in God’s goodness for many reasons. It happens when I’m in pain, or when I’m in conflict, or when I’m worried or stressed out. During these times It’s hard to think about God’s goodness, even though it’s right in front of me.
How can I trust in God’s goodness when I don’t feel it? His Word reminds me of his goodness over and over: “The Lord is always good. He is always loving and kind, and his faithfulness goes on and on to each succeeding generation” (Psalm 100:5 TLB).
Focusing on God’s goodness is important as it will give me perspective on my darkest days, when I need it the most. For when I forget God’s goodness, it causes all kinds of difficulties.
God wants to give me a life of confidence, even on my most difficult days. He wants to give me assurance. He wants to protect me. He wants to give me a life of influence and abundance. He wants to give me a life filled with generosity. Who doesn’t want that? Who doesn’t need that?
When I believe and understand the goodness of God, it will revolutionize my life and my relationships. I won’t be the same!
Bottom Line:
The Lord is good; his love is eternal and his faithfulness lasts forever.
What this means to me:
God's Word promises that he is good and his love endures forever and his faithfulness will continue through all generations.
In summary, the Lord is good. His unfailing love will continue forever, and his faithfulness will continue to each generation. He really is good all the time even though I may not always live like I believe it. I need to remind myself daily that God is good. Focusing on this is important and will help give me perspective even on my darkest days. Focusing on his goodness will give me confidence and assurance. It's important that I believe and understand the goodness of God.
Father, difficult times can come at anytime. I thank you for the reminder that regardless of what happens you care for me and are always good. You have promised that you will use all things for my good, because I love and put my trust in you. I pray this morning for your continued wisdom and guidance in conducting my work, leading me team and with my interactions with others. I ask that you send the Holy Spirit to intervene before I escalate my responses with anger or defensiveness. I ask that you help me sort through my priorities and take the right actions. These things I pray through your Son Jesus name, amen!
