Nothing is Impossible With God

In review of Matthew 19:26 it says, “Jesus looked at them and said to them, with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Bottom Line:
There are some things that are impossible for us as human being to do, but with God all things are possible.

What this means to me:
On my own strength there are many things that are impossible, including earning my own salvation. But with God all things are possible, even my salvation and the power and strength to do His will.

In this passage, because it is impossible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, it appears impossible for a rich person to get into the Kingdom of God. The disciples were astounded. They along with the people of the time thought that if anyone could be saved, it would be the rich, whom their culture considered especially blessed by God. Jesus explained, however, that "with God everything is possible". Even a rich person could enter the Kingdom if God brings them in. It is faith in Christ, not in self or in riches, that counts.

Obedience and reward are not always linked. If they were, good people would always be rich, and suffering would always be a sign of sin. Today I'm reminded that my reward for my obedience is God's presence and power through his indwelling Holy Spirit. Later on, in eternity, I will be rewarded for my faith and service. If material rewards in this life came to me for every faithful deed, I would be tempted to boast about my achievements and act out of wrong motivations.

In my weaknesses, God shows His greatest strength, carrying me to safety when I merely call on His name. Jesus Christ is the light of the world, and he can shine His radiance on the darkest situation and turn my mourning into dancing. His arms are open wide; so I can run to Him and be safe!

When I facing overwhelming obstacles, I can know that I’m next in line for promotion in the Kingdom. God is doing a good work in me, and He will not stop until He has crafted me into the perfect servant for His Kingdom. He wants me to fulfill my divine destiny and to be a giant slayer. So claim my victory and start down the road of His choosing. For nothing is impossible with God.
